Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to complete installations and repairs efficiently
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for plumbing projects
  • Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Adhere to safety protocols and building codes during all phases of work
  • Assist with assembly tasks related to plumbing components or related systems as needed
  • Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools or materials when required

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge including plumbing systems, HVAC, welding, and schematics reading
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise installation or repair work
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
  • Experience with carpentry skills relevant to framing or structural modifications related to plumbing installations
  • Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques to safely handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and building codes
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
  • Valid driver's license for commercial driving when transporting materials or equipment
