Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an IT Infrastructure Specialist located in Edmonton or Calgary AB. The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure. Daily tasks include system administration, network management, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring data security, and providing technical support to staff. The specialist will also collaborate with other teams to optimize and improve IT systems and should be prepared to handle IT emergencies promptly.

Qualifications

  • Experience in System Administration, including managing servers, storage, and backups
  • Proficiency in Network Management, including configuring and maintaining network devices, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Knowledge of Data Security practices and protocols to protect sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical support to non-technical staff
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in project management and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus
