Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Communication in Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred but not a must. Willing to work on weekends, including Sundays.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using software such as AbelDent
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments, including coordinating with the dental receptionist.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry as required.
  • Utilize scanner technology for dental procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prefers bilingual and able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese
  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems, especially AbelDent preferrably.
  • Experience or interest in digital scanning and invisalign scanning is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
