Job Overview

We are hiring a Waterjet Machine Operator to join our team in Mississauga, ON. This is a full-time position offering $20–$22 per hour, with flexible daily shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining waterjet cutting equipment, ensuring precision and quality in every part produced. The role involves setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and work orders, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistent production performance are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate waterjet cutting machines to perform precise cutting operations.
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
  • Load and secure materials on the cutting bed using proper handling equipment; lift materials up to 50 lbs when needed.
  • Monitor cutting operations to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Inspect finished parts for dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Remove completed components and prepare them for delivery or subsequent production stages.
  • Complete all documentation, including production logs, quality checklists, and work orders.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of waterjet equipment for reliable performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with waterjet or CNC cutting machinery preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy and measurement skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to machinery, noise, and water.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
