Responsibilities

· Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline

· Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates

· Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another

· Prepares loads for shipment

· Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met

· Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible

· Plan and track the shipment of final products according to the requirements

· Prepare accurate reports in requested system for upper management

· Data entry in company database for loads/items

· Relay information back to site supervisors if trucks are delayed or change in schedule.

· Communicate with drivers, vendors, managers, customers, and other dispatchers;

· carrying out tasks on other assigned projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Required experience: minimum 2-year working experience in Logistics in Canada
  • Experience in local tracing.
  • Required skills: intermediate level of using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, strong verbal and written skills in English

Competitive ability: Exhibits excellent organizational skills in fast pace environment Must have a very high level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
