Role Description

  • This is a three month contract (extendable) for an Information Technology Analyst & Technical Support Specialist, located in Toronto, ON with some flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days a week.

  • The IT Associate will be responsible for integrating off the shelf transaction management systems, providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure. Additional tasks include installing and configuring third party software systems, developing speedy transaction workflows and automations, and providing training and support for IT-related tools and software for a financial services business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in computer system installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Technical Support, Troubleshooting, and Network Monitoring skills
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and tools such as operating systems, software applications, and hardware components used by specialist financial services companies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences or related field preferred. Masters degree would be considered an asset.
  • Prior experience with accounting systems, transaction management systems would be preferred.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years working in an in-person environment at a Canadian bank, credit union, asset manager, insurance company or speciality finance or leasing company, or other non-bank financial institution.
  • This is an in-person role.
