Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder with strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. This role offers long-term career growth and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Measure onsite, fabricate, and install components
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Set up torches, power supplies, and strike arcs
  • Identify faulty equipment or defective materials and report to the Maintenance Lead Hand
  • Clamp, tack-weld, grind, heat-bend, and bolt parts into required configurations
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, Plasma Arc)
  • Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion
  • Inspect finished workpieces and ensure they meet specifications
  • Use hand and power tools common to the welding trade
  • Layout, align, and secure parts using precision measuring tools
  • Follow lock-out procedures and complete required hot work permits
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2-3 years of fabricator welding experience
  • Valid welding ticket
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in workmanship
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Forklift experience or certification (asset)
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check
