ABOUT THE ROLE

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation or working towards CPA is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
