Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or facility setting.

  • Qualifications:
  • Caregiver (required for personal care services).
  • Listed in the Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory (mandatory).
  • ENGLISH language fluency
  • Previous experience in home care, personal care, or mobility assistance (preferred).
  • Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check (required).
  • Proof of negative TB skin test or medical clearance (required).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable to client preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Help with meal preparation and planning, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties..
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
  • Offer hospice care support when required, ensuring dignity and comfort during end-of-life stages.

Skills

  • Experience in senior care or home care settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong caregiving skills with the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
  • Proficient in meal preparation and understanding nutritional requirements for seniors.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques and compassionate communication strategies.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space.
  • Previous experience in nursing homes or hospice care is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy towards clients' needs.

9:30- 11:30 AM

3:30-7:30 PM

2 hours on weekend
