Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide overnight care. The Casual Overnight Care position involves assisting a resident with their daily needs during nighttime hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role is ideal for those with personal care experience, catheter experience and who are comfortable with heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies
- Assist with mobility, including heavy lifting and transfers as required
- Provide medication reminders following proper protocols and documentation
- Support the individual with personal care tasks such as hygiene, dressing, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals or snacks as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Document observations, care provided, and any incidents during the shift
- Offer companionship and emotional support to the individual
Requirements
- Prior experience in home care
- Knowledge of patient care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanour
- Ability to work overnight shifts consistently and reliably
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to all safety protocols
- Flexibility to handle various caregiving tasks in a dynamic environment
Hours
- Required - Monday 12:00 am - 8 am
- Potential for weekend daytime/evening availability.
This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while developing valuable skills in senior and healthcare support.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
