Location: Bodyworks Collision and Glass St. John's, NL
Pay: $ $29.17 per hour. This is a commission/gain time-based pay structure as per current Collective agreement.
Hours: 40 Hours per week,8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Union
Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate in Autobody Technology (required).
Qualifications:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate in Autobody Technology (required).
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract. Must have own transportation.
- Physical stamina, with the ability to comfortably lift up to 50lbs at shoulder height.
- A commitment to safety, valuing the use of required PPE, and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Tools: Own Tools/Equipment.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Steel-toed safety boots.
Automotive Body Technician Specific Skills:
- Inspect, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, as required.
- Inspect, repair, or replace automotive parts and structure
- Skills such as sanding, adjusting, replacing, priming all required.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Conduct comprehensive automotive repairs across a diverse range of vehicles.
- Review and complete work orders.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods, attention to detail, ability to lift 50lbs.
Personal Suitability: Excellent written and oral communication, dependability, accurate, reliability, effective teamwork skills and commitment to providing exceptional service.
