Communications Consultant

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting and professional services firm, is seeking a Senior Communications Consultant to lead the development of a unified brand identity and digital refresh for a national youth-focused initiative. This project aims to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and public recognition across multiple regional partners and networks, supporting equitable and inclusive access to youth and family services across Canada
Responsibilities:
- Conduct stakeholder sessions with leadership teams, communications partners, and community representatives.
- Identify key informants including youth, caregivers, service providers, and community partners.
- Design and facilitate inclusive engagement activities such as focus groups, interviews, and surveys.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform the brand vision, values, and messaging framework.
- Develop and present the draft brand framework, including visual identity and messaging architecture.
- Facilitate a second round of engagement to gather feedback and refine deliverables.
- Deliver the finalized brand framework and creative assets.
- Develop a comprehensive brand launch and website re-launch plan aligned with the new brand strategy.
- Lead the visual rebranding of the website, ensuring migration to a modern and accessible content management platform.
- Oversee user testing and implementation to ensure that the refreshed site reflects youth and family feedback.
- Collaborate with communications and technical teams to ensure smooth transition and operational sustainability.
Deliverables:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in communications consulting, with proven expertise in branding, rebranding, and digital brand strategy projects.
- Demonstrated success managing end-to-end brand development from discovery through launch.
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual identity, storytelling, and digital branding capabilities.
- Experience in youth/community engagement or similar social impact initiatives that center inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, budgets, and deadlines.
- Experience in website design and content management system (CMS) migration.
Requirements:
- Experience leading public sector, non-profit, or large multi-stakeholder branding initiatives.
- Understanding of culturally responsive engagement with Indigenous, Black, newcomer, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
- Familiarity with Health, Education, or Social Impact sectors.
- Strong facilitation and storytelling skills.
