Warehouse Associate

Hourigan's Flooring, a large locally owned flooring store, is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate. This role requires the ability to load and unload heavy flooring materials (50+ lbs) and a positive, customer-focused attitude. We are looking for someone driven to plant roots and grow with the company, as there are opportunities for advancement and long-term career growth. This is a Monday through Friday position, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This role includes warehouse, delivery, and jobsite responsibilities, which may evolve based on operational needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Loading and unloading flooring materials weighing in excess of 50 lbs

· Providing prompt and professional service to customers, installers, and staff

· Shipping, receiving, tagging, staging, inventory management, and report generation

· Operating company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly

· Completing deliveries, cutting materials as required, performing administrative duties including customer phone calls, and accurately documenting all deliveries, pickups, and transactions in company software systems

· Adhering to all warehouse policies, safety standards, and training requirements

· Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

· Performing other duties reasonably related to warehouse and operational needs

Job qualifications:

· Forklift experience preferred, but not required

· Experience driving a 3-ton or 5-ton truck preferred, but not required

· Valid BC Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract

· Strong physical ability, including the willingness to lift, carry, load, and unload heavy materials

· A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and the flexibility to assist where needed
