Job description:

Reporting to the Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, the Delivery & Warehouse Associate plays a key role on the Vancouver Island Brewing team by supporting order building, inventory coordination, and the distribution of our legendary products.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, wrap, and stage orders of packaged and kegged products
  • Complete delivery routes throughout Vancouver Island
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (for which trained and certified)
  • Load, unload, and palletize products to and from warehouse storage areas and delivery vehicles
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse, including work areas, storage locations, and equipment
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain accurate records, including but not limited to mileage, delivery stops, cases and kegs per shift, invoices, COD orders, and keg deposit returns
  • Provide administrative support including inventory counts, data entry, and order tracking
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Attributes, Skills & Experience

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driving record
  • Previous experience driving delivery vehicles (e.g., 5-ton truck) is preferred
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification is considered an asset
  • Strong commitment to health and safety and contributing to a positive safety culture
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing production and distribution schedules
  • Dependable, positive, and a strong team player
  • Personable and customer-service focused
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, manage delivery timing effectively, and represent Vancouver Island Brewing as a brand ambassador

Physical Demands

  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 
    160 lbs (kegs)
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, turning, crouching, stooping, and squatting during loading and unloading activities
  • Ability to work in both ambient and freezer-temperature warehouse environments
