About the Role:
BermudAir is actively seeking a Head of Flight Operations (HOFO) to oversee and enhance our flight operations. In this pivotal leadership role, you will ensure our operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include managing flight planning, scheduling, crew operations, and fostering a strong safety culture, all while aligning with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all flight operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Safety to promote a proactive safety culture and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Manage recruitment, scheduling, and performance of flight crews.
  • Work with the Head of Training and Head of Cabin Crew to ensure effective training programs.
  • Lead initiatives to improve On Time Performance (OTP), fuel efficiency, and cost management.
  • Align operational goals across departments for seamless coordination.
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, airport operators, and air traffic control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years in aviation, with at least 5 years in senior management flight operations positions.
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or equivalent, with at least 3 years as PIC in OTAR Part 121 operations.
  • Strong knowledge of flight operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (ICAO, OTAR, FAA).
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and motivating large teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in flight operations software and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Commitment to safety and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
