Head of Training– Join Bermuda's Boutique Airline

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Training (HOT) to oversee and uphold the highest training standards for all Company employees, including flight crew, ground operations, and other personnel. This pivotal role plays an essential part in our Safety Committee and actively contributes to our Safety Management System (SMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all flight crew members complete initial and recurrent training in compliance with Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTAR) and Company training manuals (OM Part D).
  • Monitor and supervise contract training facilities to ensure adherence to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee ground handling and operations staff training to meet both regulatory and operational standards.
  • Ensure non-flight crew members are proficient in their assigned duties and monitor overall training program standards.
  • Maintain and update the training manual and SOPs, managing applications and renewals for training organizations and personnel.
  • Participate actively in audits and the Safety Management System to align training programs with safety objectives.
  • Foster a customer-oriented and empathetic approach to training, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead the training team to maintain professionalism and compliance across all training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a training or quality assurance role.
  • Preferred qualification as PIC on at least one type of the Company's aircraft.
  • Proven management experience in training programs.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in training program development and regulatory compliance.
  • A collaborative and empathetic leadership style with a customer-focused mindset.
