Overview

We are seeking a talented and personable Barber/Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your hair styling expertise while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping clients look and feel their best, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and contributing to a welcoming salon environment. Previous experience in hair styling, retail sales, and front desk operations is preferred, but a strong desire to learn and grow in the beauty industry is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional hair cutting, styling, and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences
  • Ensure all tools and workstations are sanitized according to health and safety standards
  • Engage with clients through friendly communication, understanding their needs and offering style recommendations
  • Upsell retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through excellent customer service and personalized attention

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients
  • Proficiency in hair styling techniques for men, women, and children
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe salon environment
  • Ability to upsell retail products effectively without being pushy
  • Excellent communication skills for clear consultation and team collaboration
  • Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
  • Professional attitude with a passion for the beauty industry and continuous learning opportunities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$39.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
