Guimond Marine Finishers Inc. is dedicated to engineering and hand-building all our hulls in our shops. We prioritize meeting with each of our customers, regardless of their location, to ensure we handcraft and build the best boats.

Duties

  • Process payroll using systems such as Ceridian
  • Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
  • Maintain and update employee records within payroll systems
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll transactions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities including account reconciliation
  • Support by providing payroll data for audits and compliance purposes
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper bookkeeping practices are followed
  • Stay current on payroll laws, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience with payroll processing using platforms such as Ceridian or similar systems
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and account reconciliation
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analysis skills to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
