Account Manager, Ontario Region
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Ontario Sales department.
Reporting to the District Manager, the person in this role will provide a successful and beneficial customer facing relationship for Esri Canada, supporting key customers in the Provincial Government sector. Esri Canada Account Managers execute business development activities and focus on selling solutions including software, professional services, and training; Account Managers are customer advocates, working across the organization to ensure their needs are understood and satisfied. They build and manage customer relationships, collect information, handle complaints, collect and analyze data and help to improve the overall customer experience, ensuring that company offerings meet the individual customer needs.
This role will be fully remote within Ontario, Canada.
A Day in the Life of an Account Manager at Esri Canada:
- Execute account management strategies designed to facilitate the implementation of business relevant solutions within a portfolio of targeted accounts.
- Leverage a customer focused mindset to support well established existing accounts, while also driving expansion into new areas within the account base by selling software, services, enterprise agreements, while retaining maintenance.
- Work closely with the Ontario Region's consulting practice and other internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment, respond to RFPs, and ensure successful implementation of our technology.
- Leverage industry knowledge and customer relationships to understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
- Conceptualize automation and improvements with Esri Canada Solutions.
- Build and advance relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
- Collect and analyze data to learn more about customers' business needs and priorities.
- Manage the accurate and timely upkeep of Account and Opportunity related information in Salesforce to provide a monthly sales forecast and to project opportunities to year end.
- Maintain knowledge of company and key partner solutions including professional services offerings.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels, always representing the company in a professional manner.
- Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by helping to improve processes.
- Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Regional Director and/or District Manager in a timely and professional manner.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum 7 years' experience working in sales
- University Degree and or College Diploma
- Experience creating and managing complex business relationships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
- Proven track record utilizing Customer Centric Sales Methodology
- Sound understanding in the use of GIS
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional computer, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to travel within Ontario to meet with the customers as required.
- Self-motivated, goal driven, efficient and effective
- Resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and well organized
- Customer focused, Interpersonal skills / relationship building
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Negotiation skills
Bonus points for this position:
- Experience working with the Provincial Government of Ontario, including a sound understanding of the Governments organizational structure with respect to all Ministries and Agencies.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $76,000 to $98,000 annually and additional commission, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
