JOB DESCRIPTION

Ekkinox is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who is responsible for full-cycle recruitment across transportation and industrial roles, with a strong emphasis on driver hiring. This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario and supports operations across multiple jurisdictions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

RECRUITMENT

  • Source, screen, and hire qualified drivers, industrial and admin staff
  • Manage the entire 360 recruitment cycle from sourcing to placement
  • Meet established KPIs, i.e. daily/weekly reach-outs, conversion rates, time-to-fill
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for key roles
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and negotiate offers
  • Partner with hiring manager to align hiring strategies with business needs
  • Manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Understand transportation requirements, including listening, experience and compliance considerations
  • Apply agency-style recruitment strategies, including pipeline building and proactive sourcing

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment or HR, ideally in a transportation or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, CNESST and familiarity with Highway Traffic and MOT/DOT regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ATS, CRM systems, or HRIS platforms is an asset
  • A client-focused mindset with some experience or interest in business development
  • HR education or certification (CHRP, HR diploma/degree, or equivalent) is an asset
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, i.e. pivot tables, formulas, filters or tracking KPIs, reports etc.
  • Bilingual is an asset due to client, customer and candidate conversations in both English and French, along with interactions with our Quebec locations.

  • Earn an annual salary range between $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 depending on experience
