The Performance Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the calculation, analysis, and reporting of investment performance for clients across the CI Wealth lines of business. This role ensures accurate and timely performance data, provides insights to support client reporting, and collaborates with internal teams to enhance performance measurement processes.
What You Will Do:
- Performance Calculation:
- Validate reasonability of portfolio performance calculations, including time-weighted and money-weighted returns, attribution analysis, and risk-adjusted measures.
- Validate data inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Reconcile performance results with custodians, third-party providers, and internal systems.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and distribute performance reports for clients, advisors, and management, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct detailed performance attribution and contribution analysis to identify drivers of portfolio performance.
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests to provide insights for client reviews, business development, or regulatory reporting.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with Technology and other Operations teams to enhance performance calculation methodologies and streamline workflows.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Provide recommendations for updates to performance databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Compliance & Standards:
Ensure performance calculations and reporting adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with portfolio managers, advisors, Client Experience teams, Technology, and other Shared Services teams to address performance-related inquiries.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in performance measurement, investment analysis, or a similar role within wealth management or financial services.
- Strong understanding of investment performance methodologies, attribution analysis, and risk metrics.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Experience with performance reporting tools (e.g., FactSet, Morningstar, Bloomberg, or similar) is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42,500 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
