About the Role

Flying Minds Education Centre is growing and looking for motivated university students to join our tutoring team. You'll support high school students in a welcoming learning environment—either in our Study Hall setting or one-on-one—helping them build confidence, improve grades, and reach academic goals.

What You'll Tutor

  • High School Math (Alberta curriculum)
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of high school Math (Alberta curriculum)
  • Math 31 (Calculus) is an asset, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Chemistry, Physics, and/or Biology up to Grade 12
  • Must be a current university student
  • Must have completed the Alberta high school education system
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping teens succeed
  • Friendly, professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Available evenings and/or weekends
  • Able to work a minimum of 6 hours per week
  • A Police Information Check will be required upon hire

Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Previous tutoring/teaching/mentoring experience (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to tutor intro-level university/college courses

Key Skills

  • Patient, positive, and encouraging teaching style
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to different learners
