We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract
Senior Accountant
to join our clients team for a contract, this role has a chance of getting extended or going permanent. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep accounting knowledge and proficiency with
Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)
to manage and execute complex financial reporting, analysis, and month-end close processes. This role requires an independent, detail-oriented professional capable of hitting the ground running and providing immediate value to our finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Oversee and execute the preparation of accurate and timely
    monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Month-End Close Management:
  • Lead and execute various aspects of the
    month-end and year-end close processes
    , ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Oracle EPM Utilization (Mandatory Requirement):
  • Act as a
    subject matter expert
    in the use of
    Oracle EPM
    (or a relevant Oracle Cloud ERP module) for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the Oracle EPM environment.
  • Compliance and Audit:
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of
    5+ years of progressive accounting experience
    , with at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience working in a
    contract or project-based environment
    is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise (Non-Negotiable):
  • Mandatory proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)
    for financial close, consolidation, and reporting. Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion is a strong asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel
    (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
