Halibut House Fish & Chips, one of the fastest growing franchised restaurants in Ontario, is built on three pillars of success: (i) Quality Food (ii) Amazing Service and (iii) Affordability.

Halibut House is currently seeking an experienced Cook to supervise the back-of-house operations for its Barrie location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate Kitchen Operations, including daily prep and cooking
  • Ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with Halibut House recipes, plating specifications, etc.
  • Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization storage and sanitation of food products
  • Clean and organize the kitchen at all times.Follow all checklists and cleaning schedules as provided
  • Maintain inventory levels
  • Train new Line Cooks
  • Other duties, as required

Experience:

  • Passion for the kitchen
  • 2 – 4 years cooking and food storage/safety expertise
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess Food Handler Certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
