Your expertise in various welding techniques and your ability to read blueprints will be essential as you lead projects from conception to completion. What you'll do
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Perform quality inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards.
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for accurate measurements.
- Lead a team of welders and fitters, providing guidance and support throughout the fabrication process.
- Manage rigging operations for heavy equipment and materials during assembly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Basic qualifications
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and soldering techniques.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Knowledge of machining processes related to metal fabrication.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
