Our client , a construction company in Kitchener are looking to hire for a Controller.
Your New Role
As Controller, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team for this construction group. You'll manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls. This role oversees AP, AR, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving efficiency. Working closely with leadership, you'll provide strategic insights to support growth and operational excellence.
What You Will Need to Succeed
You bring strong technical expertise in GAAP financial reporting, consolidation, and variance analysis, paired with hands-on experience in AP, AR, payroll, and job costing for construction projects. Proven ability to lead budgeting and forecasting processes, manage cash flow, and maintain banking relationships is essential. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit coordination, along with leadership skills to mentor a team and implement process improvements. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to deliver actionable financial insights will set you apart.
