At Trackunit, our IrisX industry cloud platform unlocks insights, benchmarks, and innovation on top of connected construction data. To help our customers succeed, we're searching for a Solution Delivery Engineer who ensures IrisX is not only implemented, but fully adopted and driving measurable business value.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of technology, delivery, and customer engagement. You'll work directly with some of the world's leading construction companies, guiding them through solution rollouts, integrating complex systems, and making sure adoption scales across their organizations.
Whether you prefer working from one of our hubs in Ontario or Chicago, or remotely from anywhere in Canada or the US, we offer a flexible setup designed for high-impact collaboration. If you're ready to bring your technical expertise to a role that blends hands-on data engineering with customer success, this is your chance to build something meaningful in one of the world's most essential industries.
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, Solution Engineer, or Technical Consultant in SaaS, IoT, or data-driven environments with exposure to customer-facing delivery
- Strong coding skills (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Familiarity with APIs (GraphQL, REST) and webhook integration
- Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts and exposure to data science/ML (e.g. Spark, Python, SQL)
- Strong customer-facing skills — able to translate technical work into business outcomes and build trust with stakeholders.
- Passion for solving complex challenges in real-world, industrial contexts
- Willingness to travel within the region to support customer engagements
- Engineer for Adoption: Configure, extend, and deploy IrisX solutions so customers can use them from day one.
- Full-Stack Development: Work across front-end, back-end, and cloud components to tailor and scale platform rollouts.
- Integrations & Data Pipelines: Build APIs, data flows, and integrations with ERP, CRM, and fleet systems, ensuring secure, reliable data exchange.
- Applied Data: Use data engineering and data science skills to enable analytics, benchmarking, and reporting use cases.
- Customer Enablement: Lead workshops, training, and coaching sessions that embed IrisX into customer workflows.
- Project Ownership: Manage timelines and technical delivery in collaboration with internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Capture customer feedback and channel insights into the IrisX product roadmap
Don't waste your time on writing the perfect cover letter for the job. We want you to create an impact that matters, and that's not in the cover letter.
- Virtual meet and greet. Meet with Leonhard Fricke, Vice President of Field Engineering and the hiring manager of this position
- Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. Our Hogan assessment helps us understand your strengths and how you align with our team culture. It's not about 'correct' answers but about starting a meaningful dialogue to ensure the best fit for you and Trackunit
- Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete responsibilities related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from across Trackunit, who you'll also work closely with in the job
- If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself
- Offer presentation and walk-through
- Join a cross-functional and collaborative team consisting of consultants, account executives, data scientists, as well as data engineers, and software developers
- A place in an agile growth SaaS business, with possibilities to grow internally in the company. We are moving fast, so fasten your seat belt and prepare to be adaptable. Back in 2020 we were 150 employees at Trackunit and we have just passed 400 employees
- International environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders
- We take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching and mindfulness as well as with an outspoken feedback culture to help you identify your strengths and opportunities. We do this by touching upon your impact on our triple focus: impacting yourself, impacting teams/relations and impacting the organisation/strategy
- Flexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We do offer you a flexible setup and believe that you best can structure how your routines look like. And once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work
- Turning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring - we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.
