Our team of over 8,000 professionals work across the UK, Ireland and North America.     Over the past five years Davies Group has consistently delivered strong double-digit growth through a combination of organic investment and via targeted acquisitions to add capability and new teams to its platform.   Reporting to the Lead Cyber Security Engineer, this is a hands-on role responsible for the management of security alerts and incidents, working within multiple systems and monitoring for abnormalities, threats and vulnerabilities. 

Key Responsibilities
• Managing alerts within the group's security tooling (SIEM, EDR, DLP, PAM, SWG & WAF)as well as reviewing the logs and reports from these tools and escalating anomalies.

• Analysing logs and events from various sources (servers, endpoints and cloud platforms)

• Triage alerts and determine potential impact or severity of security incidents

• Investigate and respond to security incidents (malware infections, phishing and unauthorized access)

• Follow up incident response procedures and escalate critical issues when necessary

• Work with the Cyber Security Engineers to help implement and tune security controls and configurations of the security tools within the group.

• Managing ticket queue within the team's service desk queue

• Assisting with the completion of post incident reports

• Assist with IT security gap and risk assessments including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, CIS Top 18 and Cyber Essentials.

• Identification and risk assessment of newly identified vulnerabilities.

• Recommend rule set and process changes or improvements

• Flexibility to work on an evening shift where required

• Timely escalation of issues to Cyber Security Engineers and/or Lead Engineer.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Highly focused customer service approach with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Experience with the Microsoft on premise and cloud platforms

• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical people.

• Management of third-party relationships.

• Experience of Compliance (27001, GDPR, CIS Top 18).

• Experience of working with or within…
o software development teams to delivery internally and externally facing applications
o data teams to ensure highly available and resilient data to support operations
o technical project teams to deliver complex and large-scale infrastructure projects
o IT service desk to deliver swift resolution and fantastic customer service

• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities to tight deadlines. 

• Strong Stakeholder management with a focus on excellent customer service.

• Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proactive and self-motivated approach to problem solving.

• Flexible and approachable.

• You are self-motivated, result driven and business oriented.

• One or more relevant IT security qualifications from a recognised body, such as Comptia Security+, CySA+, , Microsoft SC-200  

Other Desirable Skills:

• Project Management experience desirable.

• Experience of working within regulated businesses.
