We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented LEVEL 2 Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as OPENDENTAL is a plus.
  • Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred.
