We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented LEVEL 2 Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software such as OPENDENTAL is a plus.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is advantageous but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred.
