Major Job Functions
· Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment at customer facilities and work sites
· Maintain and track inventory and tooling
· Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
· Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
· Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
· Interact with internal and external customers
· Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Education & Experience
· Journeyperson Red Seal HET certification required
· Valid driver's license with a successful recent drivers abstract
· Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
· Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
· Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
· Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
· Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
· Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
· Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
· Any other relevant training as required would be considered an asset such as:
o WHMIS
o H2S Alive
o Fall Protection
o Forklift
o Overhead Crane
o Eye, Hand and Back Safety
o Transportation of Dangerous goods
o Contamination control
