TRC Solar Inc. is one of Ontario's fastest-growing commercial solar developers, specializing in rooftop and ground-mount solar for warehouses, factories, cold storage facilities, agricultural buildings, and commercial property owners. We work with business owners to reduce their electricity costs and implement long-term energy solutions with no upfront cost through innovative financing models.
We are looking for a motivated Commercial Solar Sales Representative who thrives in prospecting, client interaction, and building long-term relationships with commercial property owners.
What You'll Do
- Prospect commercial and industrial clients including warehouse owners, retail plazas, manufacturing facilities, hotels, and agricultural operations.
- Conduct cold calls, door-to-door visits, and follow-ups to generate qualified leads and book meetings.
- Identify commercial buildings with strong solar potential (flat roofs, large rooftops, high hydro bills, multi-tenant buildings).
- Build and manage a pipeline of property owners, asset managers, real estate groups, and business operators.
- Deliver client presentations explaining our solar solutions, incentives, and savings models.
- Perform on-site assessments (basic roof checks, electrical panel photos, meter photos).
- Work closely with our engineering and operations team to push deals through feasibility, design, and closing.
- Manage relationships long-term to support upsells, referrals, and repeat business.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or outside sales.
- Comfortable with cold calling, cold walking businesses, and high-volume prospecting.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain technical solutions in simple terms to business owners.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel within the GTA and surrounding areas to meet clients.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in solar, energy, HVAC, construction, roofing, electrical, or other technical sectors.
- Experience selling B2B or selling to commercial property owners, landlords, or asset managers.
- Understanding of Ontario electricity pricing, net metering, DER incentives, and PPAs (training provided).

- Base salary + industry-leading commission structure.
- Realistic OTE (On-Target Earnings) of $120,000–$200,000+ annually for top performers.
