Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. The Restaurant Floor Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring smooth restaurant functioning across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and cleanliness standards
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure efficient team performance
  • Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Handle cash management, POS transactions (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and inventory control
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards in food presentation and customer service
  • Assist in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
  • Oversee kitchen management including food production, catering services, and bar operations if applicable
  • Implement training programs focused on food handling, safety procedures, and hospitality excellence
  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to uphold guest satisfaction
  • Support budgeting efforts and control costs related to food inventory and labor

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, kitchen management, and hospitality practices
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a must
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
  • Experience managing a restaurant in upper casual or fine dining environments preferred
  • Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is highly desirable
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for team coordination and staff training
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment

Pay: $39,047.91-$76,745.88 per year
