Victoria, British Columbia, Canada kano Full time $75,000 - $110,000 per year

**This is an opportunity to work for a remote-first company. Only applicants living in British Columbia will be considered for the role. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.**

Our Values

Driven by PLAYER OBSESSION, we earn our players' trust by understanding their needs and creating experiences that put them first.

OWNERSHIP means we take responsibility for our work and outcomes — we follow through, learn from mistakes, and never say "that's not my job."

With RESOURCEFULNESS, we do more with less, finding creative ways to overcome challenges and deliver impactful results.

Grounded in CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, we are relentless in our pursuit of better — for ourselves, our games, and our players.

The Opportunity

At Kano, we build communities through gaming experiences that connect millions of players worldwide. We're looking for a Senior Producer to take ownership of production for our text-based RPG product line, managing the daily operations and delivery of engaging, high-quality live games. You'll partner with a Product Owner to ensure regular content, feature, and event updates that excite our players and sustain long-term engagement.

This is a highly collaborative role that blends strategic planning, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of player behavior in social/mobile games.

What You'll Do

Drive LiveOps Strategy: Execute on our strategies to drive player engagement, retention, and revenue in XWars and related titles.

Own Production KPIs: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production throughput, delivery quality, and LiveOps efficiency. Use data to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and inform decision-making.

Oversee Live Events: Manage the scheduling and rollout of in-game events, promotions, and updates (e.g., raids, battle passes, prestige locations, crates, blitz events).

Balance Rewards and Progression: Ensure item and reward balancing that fosters fair, rewarding progression across multiple systems.

Analyze and Optimize: Monitor game performance and player data to identify trends, measure impact, and guide continuous improvement.

Drive Teams: Lead Product, Design, Development, Creative, Marketing, Player Success, Data Science, and QA to deliver smooth, high-quality releases.

Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain focus and clarity across teams.

Align with Marketing & Community: Partner with marketing and player success to ensure cohesive promotions, messaging, and community experiences.

Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends and best practices in LiveOps, applying new insights to our strategy.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Game Production, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in LiveOps, game production, or related areas
Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with performance data and KPIs

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

Experience with agile methodologies and production pipelines

Passion for gaming and a solid grasp of player motivation and engagement

Familiarity with LiveOps tools (analytics, A/B testing, CRM, etc.)
