The Opportunity: Our Energy subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. From small installations to multi-phase integrated megaprojects, we support upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets at all stages of the project lifecycle. Our experts work to meet the highest standards in the industry and innovate to exceed them.To meet our growth challenges, WSP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join teams located in any Canadian office, with preference for Calgary, AB; Moncton, NB; or Kitchener, ON.Join our vibrant and expanding team across Canada, tackling complex energy projects from concepts to detailed engineering. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead projects in a senior technical role, collaborate with disciplines to meet mechanical engineering goals, support multiple client types (Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor-Owned Utilities, Contractors, and Developers), address challenges, and implement power grid systems of the future. You will work on power plant technologies including biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, fossil fuel, carbon capture, battery energy storage, and hydro.
