Menya Kouji Group is seeking a full-time Kitchen Staff for our ramen restaurant. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate in English, and Japanese language skills will be considered an asset. If you are energetic, motivated, and confident in your physical strength, we encourage you to apply

This is a full-time position (40h/week) including weekends and holidays. Work hour is shift based between 8am - 11pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen equipment, tools, and ingredients, ensuring proper hygiene and safety standards
  • Prepare dishes and broth according to the restaurant's recipes
  • Plan menus and manage food costs
  • Train kitchen staff
  • Supervise daily operations, including food preparation, service, and opening/closing duties
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and suggest improvements for kitchen efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills:

  • A valid Food Safe Level 1 certificate required
  • Languages: Proficient in English; Japanese language skills are an asset
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing approximately 20–30 kg
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Work Experience:

  • Experience as a cook or a Kitchen hand is an asset
  • Experience/ knowledge in Japanese cuisine is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
