Mustang Freightways Ltd is looking for a Class 1 Highway Driver in Calgary.

Since 1996 Mustang Freightways has grown into a reputable regional carrier leading the industry with legendary service. Offering both LTL & truckload transportation in Alberta and British Columbia.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with night time driving and available to work Monday to Friday departing at 22:30 driving to a switch point in Rogers Pass.

Basic Duties:

  • Pulling 48', 53', reefer, heated or dry van trailers, or flat decks
  • Primarily hauling LTL loads
  • May be required to chain up from time to time
  • Manual lifting, up to 50 lbs
  • Operating a manual or automatic transmission

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 license
  • 2-5 years Class 1 driving experience
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of extended lengths, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
  • Previous experience pulling flat decks considered an asset
  • Ability to chain up as required
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Verifiable Mountain Experience, taking routes involving highway 1, highway 93, and highway 95
  • Eligibility and willing to learn
  • And a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs manually
