Class 1- Highway Drivers Needed

Calgary, Alberta, Canada Highway King Transport Ltd. Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other appropriate equipment

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and roadworthiness

- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the truck

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise

- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and report any mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record

- Proven experience in commercial driving or a related field

- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts, is preferred

- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
