This is a multi-site position based out of the St. Paul Community Health Services. This position provides services at the St. Paul Community Health Services site, St Paul Healthcare Centre and Elk Point Healthcare Centre. This role is an integral member of our very supportive interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Your days will be busy as you work to the full scope of practice of a SLP with clients who have various needs. You will assess, create care plans and treat using evidence-based practices as you make a difference in the lives of your clients. You will possess an understanding of how patients and family are at the center of care strategies to build inclusive environments that reflect the needs and supports required for the populations that we serve. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required in building and maintaining relationships. St. Paul is "A people kind of place." Description:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will aid you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Certification in Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider from the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Preferred Qualifications:

New grads are welcome to apply, though one year of experience in a rural setting is preferred. Experience/training with preschool populations and working in a multi-disciplinary team. Generalist experience/training with dysphagia, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering and voice and resonance is an asset.
