Speech Language Pathologist II – Alberta Health Services Overview Grow your career as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with a work/life balance in rural Alberta. This multi‑site position is based out of St. Paul Community Health Services and provides services at the St. Paul Community Health Services site, St Paul Healthcare Centre and Elk Point Healthcare Centre. As an integral member of a supportive interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will assess, create care plans, and treat clients using evidence‑based practices. You will work within the full scope of practice of an SLP, ensuring that patients and families are at the center of care strategies and that inclusive environments are built for our diverse populations. Responsibilities Provide clinical professional practice independently and as part of a collaborative team, including external partners. Deliver prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. Plan, coordinate, and deliver rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners. Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. Use clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech‑Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Certification in Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider from the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. One year of experience practicing in a rural setting preferred; experience with preschool populations and multi‑disciplinary teams valued. Experience/training with dysphagia, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, voice, and resonance seen as an asset.
