**SALARY: $40.40 - $51.47**

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), is responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families through specialized knowledge, skill and judgement, both in assessing speech/oral needs and in planning, implementing and evaluating SLP care plans.

Reporting to the Manager, Allied Health, the SLP works within all areas of the hospital.

**HOURS**:
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech - Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Clinical experience in acute in-patient care preferred
- Experience in assessment, treatment and management of dysphagia and communication disorders preferred
- Works collaboratively with inter professional team members
- Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and oral
- Demonstrates excellence in problem analysis and goal setting
- Innovative and willing to learn
- Demonstrates individual leadership skills
- Excellent ability to follow intervention programs designed and overseen by Speech Language Pathologists
- Demonstrated acceptable previous performance record in alignment with STEGH's Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct.
- Excellent attendance record in accordance with STEGH’s Attendance at Work Program
