Responsibilities

- Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately.
- Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages.
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions accurately.
- Prepare and update patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including updating medical histories.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all office supplies are stocked.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, emailing, and data entry related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
