Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill in our Saskatoon branch.

The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.

Position requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval
  • Set up the machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity
  • Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product.
  • Load and unload the machines with the required products
  • Check and measure parts
  • Change the inserts when required
  • Operate all equipment, including in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

Education & Experience: Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Red seal certification or working towards certification required
  • Must have Vertical Boring Mill & Turning experience
  • Experience in programming CNC machines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances
  • Experience using an overhead crane an asset
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
