The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and professional food handling and meal preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
  • Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation protocols at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or needs
  • Support meal presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing before serving
  • Adhere to all restaurant policies regarding serving, food service, and customer interaction

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent skills in meal preparation and food presentation
  • Good understanding of the food industry trends and customer service expectations
  • Effective communication skills for working with team members and serving staff
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or modifications
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
