Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the bakery department including ordering, merchandising, customer service, and scheduling.
- Champion customer service and satisfaction through consistent application of store processes and standards.
- Execute merchandising programs including ownership for maintenance, communication and execution of store plan-o-grams.
- Ensure that department budgets are met through efficient operation of the bakery department (includes gross profit, wage cost, operational expenses and inventory) are maintained.
- Adhere to company standards and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for aspects of Employee relations including, interviewing, hiring, training and the on-going development and motivation of the team.
- Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience in a food retail environment
- Previous management/leadership experience in the retail industry an asset
- Exemplary customer relations skills
- Courses in merchandising or business management would be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Systems skills (Email, BOSS, SAP and PC applications)

What you'll need:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior department-specific experience
- Create a positive workplace by developing relationships and engaging colleagues
- Previous management experience in retail or food services
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
