We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside pharmacists to assist in providing exceptional patient care by ensuring accurate quality control and distribution of medications. This role requires strong organization skills, commitment to safety, and a team-oriented mindset.

Who we are: Helios Laboratories is a state of the art sterile and non-sterile compounding facility located in Markham, ON. We are the leading central fill compounding pharmacy in Ontario, servicing over 500 pharmacies in Ontario.

Job Description:

  • Check prescriptions for technical accuracy
  • Flexible and agile to respond to competing priorities
  • Works to be a high functioning and contributing team member ready to step in where needed
  • Experience in reading prescriptions and data entry of prescriptions
  • Experience in communicating with other health care professionals
  • Kroll pharmacy management system proficiency
  • Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to a continually changing workplace
  • Communicates and coordinates with third party insurance and billing system/ processes
  • Answers telephones, emails, text messages and takes messages for new prescriptions, patient refill requests, and other pharmacy related business
  • Promotes and works to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Looks for opportunities to maximize patient care
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with professionalism and tact
  • Ability to handle fast-paced situations, adapt to changes in a professional manner
  • Ability to respect and preserve patient/client confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner
  • Proficient written and oral communication

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
