Position Title: Evening On-Call/Campground Attendant
Department: Property Operations
Schedule: 2-3 day shifts per week as a campground attendant & 2-3 nights per week of on-call duty
Start Date: Looking to onboard new staff between March and June for the 2026 season
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a part time position consisting of 2-3 day shifts tending to the grounds/housekeeping, and 2-3 nights per week of on-call duty.
During the on-call shifts, you will be responsible for responding to the occasional phone call from on-site guests, and will conduct 2 security laps to insure that guests are respecting quiet hours. Outside of these tasks, the on-call person can spend their time as they please, as long as they can be on-site within 15min to address any issues, and do so in a professional manner. In addition to the scheduled shifts at the rate of $18.45/hr, you will earn an additional $50/shift for the on-call portion of doing evening security laps and holding the on-call phone overnight (regardless of whether you have a callout or not).
Staff accommodation is available at a very reasonable rate. This position is ideal for candidates who are seeking housing and the flexibility to work a second job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provide 5-star customer service to all guests.
-Acknowledge and greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting.
-Ensure all guests are following Surf Grove policy.
-Occasional cleaning Surf Grove Rental RVs
-Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
-Answer or investigate all guest inquiries in a timely manner.
-Comply with all Campground safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
-Ability to work well unsupervised and enjoys working alone.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Highly responsible and reliable.
-Previous Security experience/knowledge is an asset.
Physical Demands
Must be physically fit and able to lift moderately heavy items, along with movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs when required. In addition will be required to perform repetitive tasks and stand on feet/or walk for long periods of time.
