We're seeking a talented and mission-driven Senior Product / UX Designer to join our small, fast-moving team. You'll play a foundational role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our AI financial friend — an emotionally intelligent companion that helps users understand, manage, and improve their relationship with money.

As our first dedicated design hire, you'll lead the complete app redesign and rebrand, crafting intuitive, human-centered interfaces that bring empathy and intelligence to financial conversations. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to design data-rich, chat-based, and emotionally resonant experiences that redefine what financial wellness feels like.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of mobile app experiences — from concept and user flows through wireframes to high-fidelity Figma designs.
  • Own the app redesign and new brand identity, building a cohesive design system and visual language across chat, dashboards, onboarding, and notifications.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI to design experiences for: Conversational UX, Personalized Insights, Onboarding, Monetization, and Gamification features
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure designs meet user needs and expectations.
  • Translate behavioral and product analytics into actionable design improvements.
  • Advocate for design thinking and user-centered principles within a small, fast-moving startup team
  • Work within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2C product or UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio of mobile-first work.
  • Proven experience designing for interactive, data-driven, or AI-powered B2C applications (e.g. chatbots, intelligent assistants, or adaptive interfaces).
  • Strong storytelling ability through design — from low-fidelity sketches to refined user flows and visuals.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
  • Experience with conducting User Interviews to understand customer concerns and translate them into product designs.
  • Understanding of usability, accessibility, and emotionally resonant design principles.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Solid grasp of frontend development workflows, collaborating with developers on implementation.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or machine learning model interfaces.
  • Understanding of tools or languages such as HTML/CSS or React is a plus.
