Greater Sudbury ON PG M, Canada Futurescape Landscaping Full time

Futurescape Landscaping is entering its next era of growth — and we're looking for a Marketing Coordinator who can help us tell our story, accelerate our sales pipeline, and build a waiting list of incredible people who want to work here.

This is a brand-new role at Futurescape. You won't be "joining" a marketing department… you'll be building it. If you're organized, creative, tech-savvy, and excited to shape the voice of an industry-leading landscaping & construction company, this is your opportunity.

About Futurescape

We are a 26-year-old design/build landscaping, construction, and property services company with 40+ highly skilled team members, multiple divisions, and a rapidly expanding footprint across Sudbury and Manitoulin Island. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, teamwork, innovation, and being one of the best workplaces in Northern Ontario.

Your mission as Marketing Coordinator: make sure the world knows it.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with the Operations, HR, and Design/Build teams, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all marketing, communications, brand development, recruitment marketing, and basic sales-support functions at Futurescape Landscaping.

You will develop strategies, produce content, manage our digital presence, and actively drive demand — both for new clients and for future employees. You will leverage modern tools (AI, Canva, CRM, automation) to create marketing systems that scale.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan that drives awareness, client inquiries, and talent attraction.

  • Build a strong employer brand showcasing Futurescape's culture, values, and people.

  • Ensure all materials align with our visual identity, tone, and messaging.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Capture, organize, and publish high-quality content showcasing job sites, project progress, crew culture, and company wins.

  • Create marketing materials including brochures, one-pagers, proposal graphics, signage, and video/photo assets.

  • Produce compelling copy for ads, website pages, social posts, and internal communications.

  • Build and maintain a library of branded templates, digital assets, and storytelling frameworks.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Plan and manage content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and website blog.

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Canva AI, automation tools) to streamline content creation.

  • Film and edit simple videos when needed.

  • Monitor analytics and adjust strategy.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Support estimating and operations teams with marketing packages, project histories, and case studies.

  • Assist in implementing a CRM workflow.

  • Manage inbound inquiries and help build sales funnels.

  • Create presentation decks for major proposals and community partnerships.

Recruitment Marketing

  • Work with HR to create campaigns that attract top-tier talent.

  • Produce culture-based videos, posts, and stories that highlight Futurescape's team and opportunities.

  • Build and manage a "Talent Waiting List."

  • Create "Day in the Life" stories and job marketing materials.

Events, Community, & Internal Culture

  • Coordinate company events (BBQs, crew events, golf tournaments, open houses).

  • Support trade shows, job fairs, and community sponsorships.

  • Assist with internal newsletters, announcements, and milestone celebrations.

Market Research & Reporting

  • Track marketing performance metrics.

  • Monitor competitor positioning and industry trends.

  • Provide monthly reporting and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills.

  • Proficiency with Canva, social media platforms, and digital tools.

  • Experience with or interest in AI tools.

  • Excellent organization and project management.

  • Valid G driver's license.

Assets:

  • Experience in construction/landscaping/trades marketing.

  • Photography/videography skills.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools.

  • Event coordination background.

Who You Are:

You thrive in a fast-moving environment, love storytelling, and enjoy working with a people-focused, values-driven company. You're a self-starter, creative, tech-forward, and comfortable around outdoor work environments.
