Our client is looking for a Test Lead in Toronto for a 6-month contract opportunity. This is a remote role.

Professional Experience

a) 8+ years of experience in software testing, including
:

I. Three (3) plus years in a Test Lead role with full responsibility for planning, execution, and stakeholder communication on medium to large-scale enterprise projects.

b) Proven experience with:

I. Leading multi-disciplinary testing teams, including functional testers, automation engineers, and performance testers.

II. Managing testing activities in both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall/Hybrid project environments.

III. Test strategy development, risk-based testing, and traceability management.

IV. Use of test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g. Azure DevOps)

V. Automation frameworks (e.g., UFT), performance tools (e.g., LoadRunner), and basic scripting for test automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Shell scripting familiarity).

VI. Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure requirement coverage and solution quality.

Certifications

a) Required (minimum one):

I. ISTQB Certified Test Manager or Advanced Level Test Analyst

II. Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

III. PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

IV. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

b) Preferred:

I. ITIL v4 Foundation (for understanding of IT service management)

II. Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt (for process improvement in testing)

III. DevOps Foundation or equivalent (for test integration in CI/CD pipelines)
