About the Role:

As a Plant Quality & Crop Readiness Specialist, you will walk assigned crop areas daily, assessing plant health, growth stage, and readiness for sale using Willowbrook's grading and inventory systems. This role is part of our internal Gatekeeping Team and plays a critical role in protecting our quality standards as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Walk assigned crop areas to assess plant health and sale readiness

  • Classify crops accurately using Willowbrook's grading system

  • Update inventory systems and plant locations

  • Verify plant tags and varieties

  • Communicate quality concerns clearly

  • Collaborate with sales, shipping, and inventory teams

  • Support physical inventory counts

  • Maintain safe work practices indoors and outdoors

Who We're Looking For:

  • Proven horticulture, nursery, or greenhouse experience

  • Strong plant knowledge and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working independently and outdoors

  • Confident making quality and readiness decisions

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on horticulture experience strongly preferred

  • Retail Garden experience is an asset

  • Knowledge of plant health and growth stages

  • Comfortable using tablets/software

  • Strong communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
